What we're asking you to do

Skybridge is the fastest way to build an MCP App with a real UI that runs inside Claude and ChatGPT. AuthPlane is the fastest way to put production-grade OAuth 2.1 in front of it. We want to see the two working together — on your own machine, in your own words.

  1. Scaffold an MCP App with Skybridgenpm create skybridge@latest, or migrate an existing MCP server into the framework.
  2. Build at least one working tool and view. It doesn't need to be elaborate — a single functioning view is enough.
  3. Protect it with AuthPlane. Stand up AuthServer and wire in the AuthPlane SDK instead of one of Skybridge's existing auth examples (Clerk, WorkOS, Stytch, Auth0).
  4. Connect it in Claude or ChatGPT — Skybridge's local emulator and built-in tunnel make this fast — and show a real, authenticated tool call rendering the UI.
  5. Record it. A single take from a clean environment is the strongest submission, but light editing is fine. Narrate what you're doing and why.

AuthPlane and Alpic employees, contractors, and their immediate family members (spouses, domestic partners, parents, children, and siblings) or household members are not eligible to enter. Void in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and any other country or region subject to comprehensive U.S. trade sanctions. Limit one entry per person or team.

Entry period. Submissions are accepted from 12:00am on August 17, 2026 through 11:59pm on August 31, 2026, entrant's local time. Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered.

What you're submitting. Your entry must be your own original work, created during the entry period, and must accurately depict a real, working MCP App built with Skybridge and protected with AuthPlane/AuthServer. Staged or fabricated results may be disqualified.

License to your video. By submitting, you grant AuthPlane a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, edit, and distribute your submitted video (and any excerpts) across AuthPlane's marketing, social media, website, and promotional channels, with attribution to you where practical. You retain ownership of your original content and may continue to use it yourself.

Code and examples-gallery consideration. If you share a public repo, you agree AuthPlane and Alpic/Skybridge may review it for possible inclusion, credited to you, in Skybridge's official examples gallery. Inclusion is at Alpic's sole discretion and is not guaranteed by entering.

Prize. One winner will receive $500 USD, funded by AuthPlane. Winner is responsible for any taxes owed on the prize in their jurisdiction. AuthPlane reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal value if necessary.

Judging. Entries are reviewed by a joint panel including AuthPlane and, where available, Skybridge/Alpic judges, against the criteria above. All decisions are final.

Partner role. This challenge is co-promoted by Skybridge/Alpic, who may share it across their own community and channels and may provide a judge for the panel described above. Skybridge/Alpic is not a co-sponsor of the cash prize and bears no financial obligation under these rules. Submissions may be considered by Alpic for inclusion in Skybridge's official examples gallery, credited to the entrant, at Alpic's sole discretion.

General conditions. AuthPlane reserves the right to disqualify any entry that violates these rules, and to cancel, suspend, or modify this challenge if circumstances require. Void where prohibited.
